Johannesburg – Soweto Pioneers Cricket Club in partnership with Lions Cricket are delighted to unveil Blackwidow as the official equipment partner to the Soweto Pioneers Cricket Club Women’s team.

Sponsoring all contracted Imperial Lions womens players from the Soweto Pioneers Cricket Club, Lions Cricket Service Manager Reuben Mandlazi says that this is the extension of the partnership between the Union, Club and Blackwidow. Blackwidow has been the naming rights sponsor for the CGL Premier T20 Club Competition for the past few years and has now extended their hand to the leading women’s premier club team.

Mandlazi is thrilled with this news;

“This is fantastic – not only for our women and those at Soweto Pioneers Cricket Club, but for Black Widow too: Their equipment is of the absolute highest standard and this partnership will most certainly elevate our players and their ability to perform to the high standards set at Lions Cricket. I would like to thank all role players who made this partnership come to fruition.”

Blackwidow owner Robbie Fuchs said that Blackwidow is extremely honored to be part of such a great initiative: “As a company we strive to provide not only the best equipment, but also the best personal one on one customer service interaction to anyone who has a passion for the game. It’s been our goal to grow the game for all, especially the ladies as they have earned the right to be on their own platform. We are excited to walk alongside them on their journey to success and look forward to helping them reach for the stars.”

“We are extremely humbled and excited by the extended partnership, ensuring the empowerment of our women with the necessary tools they require to perform at a professional level in line with their counterparts. We would like to thank Robbie, his team and the entire Blackwidow family including Lions Cricket for their continued support,” concludes Teboho Makenete: Soweto Pioneers Cricket Club Chairperson.
