CSA Policy
- Entry to Stadia
- No person may gain access to any cricket stadia without presentation (digitally or electronically) of the Government issued “fully vaccinated” certificate
- Obtained via https://vaccine.certificate.health.gov.za/
- Details on this certificate must be checked against the patrons ID
- We do note that government gazette has made provision to allow non vaccinated patrons, subject to certain COVID tests. We however have decided to NOT allow anyone who is not fully vaccinated, and this provision is therefore not relevant to Cricket.
- Children under 12 years of age are exempt from the requirement to be fully vaccinated.
- Non-South African residents similarly have to provide official proof of vaccination and verified against their passports.
- An accreditation or ticket is still required in addition to the above
- CSA reserves the right to cancel accreditation of non-vaccinated individuals and reinstate it upon production of valid vaccine certification.
- Current regulation permits up to 2 000 spectators into a venue
- However, CSA has opted to not allow spectators into the inner ring of stadia so as to heighten the security against COVID for the India tour
- Other tours will be considered separately
- Current regulations allow for stadia to submit an application to government for approval to sell/allow for more spectators than the 2 000 set our in the regulation
- If stadia receive such approvals, they must accept they still require CSA’s approval to proceed on the basis of their application i.e. CSA may (as with India) choose to not allow spectators, and/or imposed COVID protocols higher that which Government has set as a minimum standard.
