POLOKWANE: The Inland Rural week tournament delivered some great cricketing action yesterday with T20 double-header games in four of the five playing fields in Limpopo.
The first game of the day at Nirvana CC, was between Limpopo and Free State, with the former winning the toss and electing to field first. Free State then set the target to 144 runs before restricting Limpopo to 123 runs and winning the game by 20 runs.

In Limpopo CC A Field, Central Gauteng Lions won the toss and elected to field, putting the KZN Inland side to the bat first. KZN Inland set the target on 157 runs in 20 overs and managed to restrict Central Gauteng for 126 runs, winning the game by 27 runs.

In a close encounter at the Capricorn Oval, North West won the toss and elected to bat first against KZN Coastal as they went on to secure a 3 run victory after restricting the KZN Coastal side to 113/8.

In Limpopo CC B field, Northern Cape won the toss and elected to bat first, setting a target of 135 run in 20 overs, which proved not enough as Mpumalanga successfully chased the runs and won the game by 3 wickets.

In Limpopo CC A field, Northern Cape batted first after winning the toss against Central Gauteng and set the target of 122 runs before restricting Central Gauteng to 110 runs in their 20 overs.

At Limpopo CC B field, the second match of the day saw Mpumalanga win the toss and electing to bat against KZN Inland. The KZN Inland side posted 119/8 in their 20 overs before restricting Mpumalanga to 105/9 in their innings, wining the game by 14 runs.
