PRETORIA: TheCricket South Africa (CSA) 2022 Hubs National Tournament gets underway this week from 29 March to 01 April 2022 at the Centre of Excellence (High-Performance Centre), in Hatfield.
The 2022 CSA Hubs tournament will consist of 50-over games with the following participating teams:
Dobsonville Hub, Tygerberg Hub, Gelvandale Hub, Reservoir Hub, Kuruman Hub, and Atteridgeville Hub.
CSA Hubs offer programmes that afford youngsters an opportunity to gain experience in the game of cricket. And this tournament seeks to identify young talent and implement Player-Performance-Plans (PPPs), for the high performing players.
The tournament will also track the progress of each individual hub in terms of performance and talent identification.
Cricket South Africa’s Mass Participation Manager and Tournament Director, David Mokopanele said; “We are thrilled to be able to host this tournament back after a long interval caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
“Our Hubs play a key role in the development of our pipeline, providing the link between our school and high-performance structures.”
“This tournament affords our players the opportunity to play at a national level and we want to provide our players with platforms that will encourage them to stay in the system,” said Mokopanele.
All matches will be available on WebSports.
