Johannesburg, 14 June 2025
The country’s biggest T20 winter club cricket competition, The Jozi Cup is ready to conclude, with the finals running from 14 – 22 June 2025.
The five week community-based competition incorporated 25 clubs from ages u11 up to Over 40’s, with over 130 teams contesting to be crowned 2025 Jozi Cup Champions. Serving as a continuation of the Pride’s pipeline feeder system the tournament once again included Blind Cricket teams as well as players from the valued Telkom Talent Acceleration Programme.
Jozi Cup Tournament Director Reuben Mandlazi encourages all from far and wide to head to the DP World Wanderers Stadium on any of the finals, and with free entrance for all and a fabulously family friendly atmosphere, it’s bound to be a tournament to remember whether you’re a player, parent or fan.
“A key part of any players success, is prior exposure – which is why all Finals are to be played on the iconic DP World Wanderers Stadium pitch. Affording our talent the opportunity to perform on the exact stage on which their heroes play, is paramount to their growth path. Add to that the fanfare, the trophy, the scouting, the fireworks, and we’ve replicated life, the pressures, the passions and the privileges of a professional cricketer. And time and time again, our players rise! We warmly welcome everyone to enjoy the cricket carnival with us, it really is something to behold!”
The finals will run as follows:
14 June 2025: Game 1: Blind Cricket Exhibition match
Game 2: Veterans
Game 3: Senior Men’s Open
